DANIELLE SCHWEITZER (SHE/HER)
Fourth-Year Doctoral Student

Danielle is a third-year Clinical Psychology Ph.D. doctoral student at Rowan University. She has her BA in Psychology from Rowan University. Her research interests include the development, effectiveness, and dissemination of technology-based interventions for depression and anxiety. Currently, she is interested in further understanding engagement patterns associated with widely-used apps and factors that contribute to discontinued usage. Within her research, she would like to investigate the relationship between symptoms and app usage. Additionally, she hopes to examine how users navigate app marketplaces while choosing mental health apps.
FREDERICK NITCHIE (HE/HIM)

Freddy is a first-year Clinical Psychology Ph.D. student at Rowan University. He graduated from Arcadia University with a B.A. in Psychology in 2016 and went on to earn his M.S. in Experimental Psychology from Villanova University in 2019. His research interests include the etiology of anxiety and depression, their comorbid relationship, and how such research could inform prevention efforts in at-risk populations. Outside of the lab, Freddy enjoys playing tabletop games with friends, reading, hiking, and playing with his dog Teak.

NINELLE EDENNE (SHE/HER)

Ninelle graduated from Rowan University in May of 2024 with a B.A. in Psychology and a Certificate of Undergraduate Study in Publishing and Writing for the Public. She is deeply interested in understanding how individuals without access to standard care choose to change and the steps they take to achieve it, particularly through accessible self-help methods such as mental health apps. Ninelle hopes to use her research to collaborate with the community to develop more effective and accessible strategies for personal growth and transformation. She is primarily interested in underserved populations facing anxiety and depression. Outside of research, Ninelle works as a Peer Support Facilitator. In her free time she enjoys the gym, reading, writing, and painting.
ARIA SHOEMAKER
MBA Graduate Student
Aria is a graduate student in the Masters of Business Administration program at Rowan University. She received a biological sciences B.S. and a psychological sciences B.S., minoring in neuroscience in 2022. Her research interests include focusing on prevention and treatment of mental illnesses and disorders including depression and anxiety. Her future career goal is to become a neurosurgeon/neuropsychiatrist who utilizes her research experience to better understand and treat her patients. She likes to ride horses and work as a medical assistant in her free time.
BAILEY ROBSON (SHE/HER)
First-Year Graduate Student
Bailey is currently a first-year graduate student at Rowan University in their M.A. Clinical Mental Health Counseling program. She received a Cognitive Science B.S. with a minor in Psychology from Villanova University in 2024. Her research interests include the role mindfulness has in the treatment of depression and anxiety, and in relationships with others. Her future career goal is to get her doctorate and continue research, hopefully opening up her own practice down the road that will focus on love and relationship counseling. In her free time, Bailey loves to spend time with her family and her two bunnies, as well as doing crafts!

Senior
Desiree is a Senior at Rowan University majoring in Psychological Science. Her research interests involve treatments for disorders like depression and anxiety as well as topics including technology, women, and adolescents. Her career goal is to be a counseling psychologist that works specifically with children and adolescents. She is also interested in working as a school psychologist. In her spare time, she likes to write, go to the gym, and hang out with her siblings.
HANNAH SEGAL (SHE/HER)
Senior
Hannah is a Senior majoring in psychology at Rowan University. Her research interests include treatment interventions for anxiety and depression, etiology of depression and anxiety, and how stable phobias are and whether this causes mild to extreme distress. Her future career goal is to become a clinical psychologist to help people manage their symptoms, and help them live their life to the fullest. In her free time, she enjoys doing charitable work on her service fraternity APO (Alpha Phi Omega), going to the gym, listening to music, spending time with her friends and family.
ELIZABETH PAGAN (SHE/HER)

Elizabeth is a Senior at Rowan University going for her B.A. in psychology, expecting to
graduate this fall. Her research interests include prevention and intervention against mood
disorders as well as aiding and observing in children’s physical development. Some of her
future goals include getting a graduate degree in clinical psychology and possibly getting a certification in recreational therapy. When Elizabeth is not studying or working she enjoys
physical activities such as the gym, skiing, rock climbing, softball, and hiking.
MAGGIE MCCUMBER (SHE/HER)

Maggie is a current junior obtaining her Psychology BA. She plans on going to graduate school for either clinical counseling or school psychology. She hopes to be able to help kids and teens struggling with different mental health issues. In her free time, she can be found reading, singing, or attending a Broadway show in New York City.
ALYSSA DUDZIC (SHE/HER)
Sophomore
Alyssa is a sophomore at Rowan University, majoring in Psychological Science. Alyssa is interested in pursuing a career in Psychology, specializing in providing therapy to those suffering from depression, anxiety, and post-traumatic stress in adolescence and adulthood. She intends on ultimately obtianing her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology and opening a private practice in Psychotherapy. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, going to the gym, and riding her motorcycle. Alyssa is excited to see what projects the ROAD lab has to offer.

RACHEL GRANT (SHE/HER)
Second Year Graduate Student
Rachel is currently a second-year graduate student at Rowan University in their M.A. Counseling in Educational Settings Program on the SAC and LPC track. Her professional interests are geared toward helping adolescents and young adults through challenging and trying times. Research-wise, Rachel is interested in effective preventative strategies aimed at limiting anxiety and depression's impact on an individual as well as the role of technology and social media in anxiety and depression's development. Through her work, Rachel hopes to encourage and empower those who are struggling as well as reform the false beliefs related to mental health treatment.

Danielle is a senior at Rowan University, pursuing a degree in psychology. Her research interests center on early intervention strategies for child mental health and the application of mindfulness in the treatment of anxiety and depression. Upon completing her B.A. in psychology, Danielle plans to obtain a doctorate in psychology to support children in their mental health journeys. In her spare time, she goes to the gym, enjoys walking her dogs, and volunteers at a therapeutic horse farm.
CONNOR HANNON (HE/HIM)
Junior
Connor is a junior majoring in psychology at Rowan University. His research interests include anxiety, depression, as well as the impact technology can have on mental health. After graduating, he plans to become a Licensed Professional Counselor to aid people in need through therapy. In his free time, Connor loves spending time with friends, playing basketball, and listening to music.

Ariana is a sophomore at Rowan University majoring in psychology with a minor in sports and exercise psychology. Her research interests include the effects of social media on mental health and the prevention and treatment interventions of mental illness in children and young adults, specifically anxiety and depression. Her career goal is to go to get her master's degree in Applied Child and Adolescent Psychology and become a counselor for children and teens. In her spare time, she enjoys going to the gym, hanging out with friends, reading, and coaching gymnastics on the weekends.
